Steven Purcell

 

Steven Ross Purcell (born October 1, 1961) is an American cartoonist, animator, game designer, and voice actor. He is the creator of the Sam & Max media franchise, for which Purcell received an Eisner Award in 2007. The series has grown to include an animated television series and several video games.

A graduate of the California College of Arts and Crafts, Purcell began his career creating comics for the college newsletter. He did freelance work for Marvel Comics and Fishwrap Productions before publishing his first Sam & Max comic in 1987. Purcell was hired by LucasArts as an artist and animator in 1988 and has worked on several LucasArts adventure games, including the first three LucasArts games of Monkey Island, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Sam and Max hit the road.

Purcell teamed with Nelvana to create a Sam & Max television series in 1997 and worked briefly as an animator for Industrial Light & Magic after leaving LucasArts. He is currently employed in the story development department at Pixar.

Fritz Kredel

  He was born in Michelstadt-im-Odenwald, then in the Grand Duchy of Hesse of the German Empire. In his early years, he studied under Rudolf Koch at Offenbach School of Art and Design, and developed skills in woodcuts. In 1920, he began studying at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Offenbach am Main. Koch and Kredel collaborated on A Book of Signs (1923) and The Book of Flowers (1930). Following Koch's death in 1934, Kredel moved to Frankfurt, but in 1938, he fled Germany for political reasons with help from Melbert Cary.

  WLOP (real name Wang Ling) is a hobbyist digital artist from China, actually based in Hong Kong; very well-known for her painting process videos, where he reflects detailed stories within the fantasy genre. He is very active in the main social media where he can showcase his art, like YouTube, Devianart, or ArtStation, as well as being active in Patreon. In YouTube, he uses the speedpaint process to show its painting process from beginning to end, with Photoshop as its main content platform. WLOP's art is beautiful and amazing, extraordinarily sensitive and nostalgic. It represents normally female characters in active or emotional scenes, sharing its whole photoshop painting process from beginning to end so its community can learn from him.

Edward Penfield

  Edward Penfield (June 2, 1866 - February 8, 1925) was an American painter, illustrator, and publicist. Father of the modern poster in the United States. With a style characterized by drawings in vast backgrounds cut out on a light background and text strongly integrated with the image, he is considered one of the pioneers of American graphics. Originally from Brooklyn, he studied art in his hometown and around 1890 took painting lessons from the impressionist George de Forest Brush. From 1891 to 1901 he was art director of important magazines such as Harper's, Harper's Bazaar and Harper's Weekly for which he also edited the advertising. The works for Harper & Brothers will remain among the most significant of his career.
